The PraxisUnico conference is where commercialisation professionals and Technology Transfer professionals meet to exchange views and experiences. This year the Conference takes place in Dublin. Dr Melanie Hardman, Head of Ximbio and Dr Hugh Spotswood, Senior Business Development Manager will both be in attendance.
Ximbio to hold an express licensing session
Melanie will be running and chairing a specialised reagent commercialisation session entitled Commercialisation of non-patented IP/express licensing. The session will be very informative and has already received great interest by registered attendees.
The aim of this session is to share the group’s knowledge and experience to a wider group of TTOs. The session will cover what express licensing technologies are and the types of tools available to expedite sourcing and commercialisation of them, for example Ximbio for research reagents and Isis Outcomes for software and clinical outcome assessments (COA).
There will be four short talks followed by a panel discussion. The guest speakers and talks are:
Dr David Churchman, Isis Innovation Ltd - Supporting health outcomes research through express licensing
Dr Ed Maughfling, UMIP - Express IP: from coalface to marketplace
Dr Melanie Hardman, Ximbio - Ximbio: making research tools widely and easily available Marina Santilli,
ULCB - E-lucid – mining the IP long tail The Express Licensing Technologies Group
The Express Licensing Technologies Group has been meeting for three years to share experiences and best practice around sourcing and commercialising express technologies.
