New Antibodies from Ximbio

Please find below our eleventh Ximbio product update. This month’s mailer details monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies new to Ximbio developed at CRUK’s London Research Institute and Clare Hall laboratories, the National University of Ireland and the Universities of Birmingham and Nottingham.

Ximbio introduces 12 new monoclonal and 3 new polyclonal antibodies available for licence or purchase.

	Anti-SMC3[DJ5.2.3] Applications: WB Reactivity: Xenopus laevis, Human, Mouse SMC3 is a central component of cohesin, a complex required for chromosome cohesion during the cell cycle. Cohesin is coupled to DNA replication and is involved in DNA repair. The cohesin complex plays also an important role in spindle pole assembly during mitosis and in chromosomes movement.
	Anti-Acetyl SMC3 [EM5.5.2], [DP4.1], [DP3.1] and [EN9.1] Applications: WB Reactivity: Xenopus laevis SMC3 is acetylated only in chromatin preparations from extracts where the DNA has replicated.
	Anti-Phospho Endosulfine [DF1.1] and [CX2.1] Applications: WB  Reactivity: Xenopus laevis Protein phosphatase inhibitor that specifically inhibits protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) during mitosis. Endosulfine is highly phosphorylated in Xenopus egg extracts but de-phosphorylated when the eggs enter interphase.
	Anti-S100A8, Polyclonal [NH2] Applications: WB IP IHC Reactivity: Human PMID: 10973813 Together with heterodimeric partner S100a9, S100a8 is a major biomarker of inflammation both in released form in serum and through increased expression in epithelial tissue and in many tumour models.
	Anti-S100A9, Polyclonal [NH6], [NH3] Applications: WB FACS Reactivity: Mouse PMID: 11723110, 10973813Together with heterodimeric partner S100A8, S100A9 is a major biomarker of inflammation both in released form in serum and through increased expression in epithelial tissue and in many tumour models.
	Anti-C-NAP1/CEP250 [6F2C8] Applications: IHC IP WB Reactivity: Human  PMID: Submitted Centrosomal Protein 250 (CEP250), also known as Centrosomal Nek2-Associated Protein 1 (C-NAP1), is a core centrosomal protein required for centriole-centriole cohesion during interphase of the cell cycle.
	Anti-CD45RA [BU77] Reactivity: Human CD45RA is a transmembrane tyrosine phosphatase that is present on all leukocytes and regulates the threshold of T cell antigen receptor (TCR) signaling through dephosphorylation of protein tyrosine kinases.
	Anti-Y hapten (C14) [NCRC56], [NCRC55] Applications: FACS, RIA Reactivity: Human  PMIDs: 3768863, 6189529Y haptens are carbohydrate surface antigens formed by the difucosylation of Type-2-blood-group chains, which expression is frequently elevated in colorectal tumours.
