Anti-AP2a [AP2a 8G8/5]

Invented by Helen Hurst
Invented at Queen Mary University of London

Info

Catalogue Number 151254
Applications ChIP IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Activating Protein 2 (AP-2) alpha (Human)
Reactivity Human
Relevance AP-2 is a family of developmentally regulated transcription factors which also play a role in breast cancer and melanoma. AP-2ß may be important in cardiac and kidney development. The AP-2 transcription factors form the OB2 complex that has been shown to up-regulate c-erb-B2 transcription.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Bacterialy expressed AP-2a/AP-2g fusion protein.
Positive Control Extract from breast cancer cell line ZR75-1
Subclass IgG1
Molecular Weight (kDa) 50
Myeloma Used Sp2/0-Ag14
Recommended Growing Conditions DMEM + 5% FCS
Strain Balb/c
Notes AP2a 8G8/5 is specific for the alpha form of AP-2.

Antigen recovery using microwave or pressure cooking required for paraffin embedded tissue.
Research Area Cancer, Cardiovascular, Epigenetics & Nuclear Signalling
