Catalogue Number 152730
Applications IHC IF WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Leu1 (CD5)
Reactivity Human
Relevance Leu-1 is a surface glycoprotein present on peripheral T cells (>95%) and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia cells that binds CD72. Absence of the Leu-1 marker on childhood ALL cells is associated with a more favourable prognosis. UCH-T2 is useful for detection of T cells in peripheral blood and lymph nodes and categorisation of T cell lymphomas and B cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.
Host Mouse
Immunogen Thymocytes followed by Sezary T cells.
Subclass IgG2a
Research Area Immunology, Stem Cell Biology
Notes Recommended for Immunofluorescence and immunostaining of frozen samples and the enrichment of T cell populations by cell sorting or panning.

Recombinant monoclonal antibody produced from the original monoclonal. Manufactured using Absolute Antibody’s Recombinant Platform with variable regions (i.e. specificity) from the hybridoma.

Three different variants available:
- Anti-CD5 [UCHT2], Mouse IgG1, Kappa
- Anti-CD5 [UCHT2], Mouse IgG1, Kappa, containing key point mutations that abrogate binding to Fc gamma receptors.
- Anti-CD5 [UCHT2], Rabbit IgG, Kappa
