Anti-ASIC2 [ASIC2] monoclonal antibody

Invented by Dr. Xiang-ming Zha
Invented at University of South Alabama

Info

Catalogue Number 156466
Applications IHC WB
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Acid-sensing ion channel (ASIC) 2
Reactivity Mouse
Relevance Acid-sensing ion channels (ASICs) are proton-gated ion channels expressed predominantly in neurons. In the brain, the main ASIC subunits are ASIC1a, ASIC2a and ASIC2b. ASICs have been shown to regulate synaptic function, fear, learning, and are one important contributor to pain and neuronal injuries.
Host Rabbit
Immunogen Raised using the following peptides: PGDAPYCTPE, CFDYIYELIKEKLLD, CETISHTVNVPLQTA, SHTVNVPLQTALGTLEEIAC (SHT), and VPLQTALGTLEEIAC (VPL)
Notes WB; IHC (Successful only in tissue that overexpresses protein due to low endogenous levels)
Research Area Neurobiology
