Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | ADAM10 |
Parental Line | HEK 293T |
Synonyms | A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 10, CRISPR-Cas9 |
Host | Human |
Tissue | Kidney |
Disease Keywords | Cancer, Alzheimer’s and inflammatory diseases |
Relevance | A disintegrin and metalloprotease 10 (ADAM10) is essential for embryonic development and impacts on diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer’s and inflammatory diseases. ADAM10 is a ‘molecular scissor’ that proteolytically cleaves the extracellular region from over 100 substrates, including Notch, amyloid precursor protein, cadherins, growth factors and chemokines. |
Research Area | Cancer, Neurobiology, Other |
Notes |
CRISPR edited ADAM 10 HEK-293T cells. Generation of CRISPR/Cas9-knockout cell line: A guide RNA sequences was selected for human ADAM10, and the following primer pairs were used to encode these sequences: ADAM10 guide 2 (5’-CACCGATACCTCTCATATTTACAC-3’ and 5’-AAACGTGTAAATATGAGAGGTATC-3’). Cancer Research Technology Limited (trading research tools as Ximbio) has been granted a non-exclusive license to the CRISPR-Cas9 technology by ERS Genomics Ltd under the patent rights listed here. This license from ERS Genomics Ltd allows Ximbio to develop and commercialise CRISPR-Cas9 modified cell lines for research use only. Ximbio can provide these modified CRISPR-Cas9 cell lines to companies under a label-use only license. |
