Catalogue Number | 158045 |
Applications | ELISA IHC WB |
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) |
Reactivity | Vertebrates |
Relevance | Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) is an enzyme found mostly in the cells of the liver and kidney. Much smaller amounts of it are also found in the heart and muscles. Normally, ALT levels in blood are low, but when the liver is damaged, ALT is released into the blood and the level increases. This test measures the level of ALT in the blood and is useful for early detection of liver disease. |
Host | Rabbit |
Immunogen | Ovalbumin-conjugated synthetic peptide. Peptide immunogen is conserved across all vertebrates. |
Formulation | Unpurified anti-serum from rabbit preserved in 0.02% Thiomersal |
Molecular Weight (kDa) | 55 |
Notes |
Applications and Recommended Usage Conditions: - ELISA recommended to be used at 1/500 dilution, peptide immunogen - WB recommended to be used at 1/500 dilution, fish serum - IHC recommended to be used at 1/500 dilution, antigen retrieval: microwave 20 min @ 800W in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 Unpurified anti-serum from rabbit preserved in 0.02% Thiomersal. |
Positive Control | ELISA: peptide immunogen WB: fish serum IHC: formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded fish liver tissues |
