Applications | IHC WB |
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | Major histocompatibility complex class 2 |
Reactivity | Salmonids |
Relevance |
MHC class II molecules are heterodimeric glycoproteins composed of a α and a β chain, which are constitutively displayed at the surface of professional antigen-presenting cells (APCs) such as dendritic cells (DCs), macrophages, and B cells. MHC class II molecules present antigens of exogenous origin to CD4+ T cells. This is a marker for professional antigen-presenting cells. |
