Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets | A 20 amino acid synthetic Ara h2 (Arachis hypogaea 2) Peptide conjugated to Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin (KLH). The peptide sequence is located near the middle region of Ara h2 protein sequence. Ara h2 is a major peanut allergen and exists in 2 isoforms, Ara h2.0101 and Ara h2.0201 of Mw 18.7 and 20.1 kDa respectively. Ara h2 is a seed storage protein and has weak trypsin inhibitor activity. The antibody recognizes both isoforms. |
Reactivity | Rabbit and Plant |
Host | Rabbit |
Method of Purification | Affinity Purified |
Notes |
FORM: Affinity Purified, Lyophilised SPECIFICITY: Specific for Ara h2b. Confirmed by ELISA and Western Blot analysis of Peanut Protein. WESTERN BLOT: Use at 1µg/ml for Western Blotting. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. STORAGE: Long term - 70ºC dry Short term - 20ºC solution or 4ºC with appropriate antibacterial agent. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Glycerol (1:1) can be added for additional stability. PRODUCT PREPARATION: Reconstitute with addition of 20 µl of sterile water. KNOWN USES: ELISA (1:100 to 1:10,000), Western Blot (1ug/ml) |
