Serum Free-Suspension adapted recombinant CHO-K1 cell line with stable production of second generation Human Erythropoietin protein called Darbepoetin (Darbe)

Invented by Saiyed Taslimarif , Patel Paresh Brijalal , Mukhopadhyaya Rabindranath
Invented at The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms C-CAMP

Info

Catalogue Number 160887
Antigen/Gene or Protein Targets Erythropoietin (EPO), Darbepoetin (Darbe)
Parental Line CHO-K1
Synonyms haematopoietin, or haemopoietin
Host Hamster
Tissue Ovary
Disease Keywords Therapeutics, Haematopoiesis, Anaemia
Production Details The CHO-K1 cells were transduced with the two different lentiviral vectors for stable constitutive expression of 1) Darbepoetin gene and 2) a ShRNA targeting a specific protease that can cleave the EPO protein. G418 and Puromycin were used for selection of stable clones. The Darbepoetin is expressed without any affinity tag and is actively secreted in the culture supernatant. The adherent cells were adapted in serum free media (CD Forti media) and grown in shake flask.
Conditional No
Research Area Drug Discovery & Development
Recommended Growing Conditions Grown in Serum Free CD Forti media. The cells are grown in a CO2 incubator at 37°C with 5% CO2 with shaking.
